How to Get the Most Out of GLS 2020

So you’ve registered for the Global Leadership Summit, blocked out your schedule for two full days of learning and growing, and are planning out how you’ll be engaging with the Summit online. We know for a lot of us, GLS will look a little different this year—that’s why we put together this list of ways to make sure you get the most out of your Summit experience from wherever you’re watching this year.

Create Your Space - Even before the day of the Summit, take time to plan where you’ll watch (somewhere comfy and distraction-free), what snacks you’ll have on hand (brain food...and maybe some candy...), and how you’ll take notes throughout the day. (Hint: GLS will give you a digital notebook!) That way when it’s time to engage, all you’ll have to do is settle in.

Log In Ahead of Time - Here’s a time-saving tip that will prep you for the online experience—log in to access your LeaderPass before August 6 (you should have received email instructions to do this in your inbox); all you’ll need is the email you used to register. Create your password to officially access your pass so you don’t have to worry about it the morning of Summit, and then spend some time exploring! We recommend opening up your GLS 2020 Digital Notebook to get a sneak peek of the schedule and how you can take notes right on your device!

Be Chatty - One of the unique adds that GLS 2020 brings is the opportunity to be a part of the Live Chat that will be happening throughout the event with others who are investing in their influence, too! Connect with the LCBC community in our own private chat as we ask questions, share experiences, and offer the chance to win some exclusive giveaways!

Watch LIVE - There are tons of benefits to being part of the GLS experience live during August 6 & 7, but one of the biggest ones is the opportunity to catch former president George W. Bush’s session on Thursday morning, August 6. This session won’t be available on-demand after the event, so plan to experience it live.

Connect With Others - Choose some friends, coworkers, or family who you know will be watching GLS too and plan to connect with them during breaks or over lunch to discuss the sessions you’ve seen so far. Start a Summit group text, Slack channel, or Zoom call to make it easy to share your thoughts and take next steps together. And plan to connect with the broader GLS community by using and exploring #GLS20 on social media throughout the event.

We’re looking forward to two days of investing in our influence together!
