When I turned 18, I made a choice that I'll have to live with for the rest of my life. At that point, I was so far from having a relationship with God that I felt he would never forgive that sin. It was difficult to deal with, but I dealt with that choice on my own and felt very alone.
My best friend invited my daughter and me to LCBC several times before I accepted the invitation. In my mind, I was going more for my daughter than me. However, I soon felt like I was a part of something and found myself looking forward to Sunday.
"I couldn't help but feel like the message was directly speaking to my life"
I enrolled in Starting Point, feeling like I was still not a Christian, but wanted to be able to explore my questions and faith without judgement. Over the 8 weeks I could feel myself getting closer to God and growing in my faith with the help of my Starting Point family. During the 6th class, the message had to do with grace. I couldn't help but feel like it was directly speaking to my life and my previous sins. At that point, I knew I had to accept Jesus as my savior. Leaving Starting Point, I was a life changed by Christ.
