When Heather’s father committed suicide, it affected her whole world. Her life seemed to spin out of control and daily life became extremely difficult. When a friend invited her to LCBC, Heather accepted and found the experience to be both surprising and enlightening.

Her father’s side of the family had always said that suicide was unforgivable in God’s eyes, and this realization hit Heather hard. “It just didn’t seem right to me,” she says.

It was a following message she heard from David Ashcraft at LCBC that changed Heather’s outlook on her life. “He said, ‘Suicide is not an unforgivable sin,’” she remembers. “I knew at that moment I could accept Jesus as my Savior."
