After a tragedy hit his life, Leo realized he needed to make a change. His experience at LCBC lead him to a new path that impacted the way he lived.
Before coming to LCBC my life was far from God. I felt lost a lot of the time, and I did things that I’m not proud of, like using and selling drugs and being a womanizer. It took a tragedy, my grandmother passing away, to bring me to church. She basically said if we wanted to keep the family together, we needed to find Jesus.

After visiting a church down in Florida and enjoying it, a series of circumstances lead to me coming to LCBC. As soon as I walked in the building for the first time, I was in tears. I felt a warmth that said ‘this is it, this is where I want to be.’ I was greeted and encouraged by people I didn’t even know, and I've developed friendships that have helped me in my walk with Christ.
Today, I’m able to recognize God’s blessings daily. I’m walking a positive path, and I’m constantly reminded that all things are possible through Christ as I continue to pray, love, and give him control in all aspects of my life. When I was selling drugs, staying out late, and partying, I thought I had it made. When I gave it all up, I ended up having more.
