Now we are introduced to Samson’s character. He is physically strong and strategically clever, but he has a weakness for women. His weakness puts him in contact with the enemies of Israel, which brings about his victories over them. Verse 14:4 says that God had a plan even in the midst of Samson’s weakness.
We’d love to have all strengths and no weaknesses, especially when the weaknesses are a temptation to do the wrong thing. Imagine God having a plan even for those.
