In chapters 4 & 5, Solomon established his reign over Israel and prepared to build a Temple. The chapter today describes the finished building.
We don’t worship in temples today. In fact, in 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, we are told that our bodies are now God’s dwelling place and his temple. The care that Solomon put into making sure the Temple he built was suitable, is the same care we should take in making sure we are holy.
