In chapters 11-21, Jesus continues to teach as opposition to him continues to grow. In chapter 22, Jesus celebrates the Passover with his disciples. He lets them know he will not eat with them again before his death.
We are also told of Peter denying his relationship with Jesus. Although we may not outright deny knowing Jesus like Peter did, it can be tempting to distance ourselves from Christ. Maybe we begin acting like everyone else when we get laughed at for following Jesus, or we keep our mouths shut when people say things that are critical of God. I wonder which wound hurt worse; being beaten or having his friend abandon him?
