Jesus breaks all of the cultural rules by talking to a woman who would normally be shunned by a “good Jew.” It’s ironic that God would accept a person that a good person would reject.
You may sometimes be tempted to avoid those you are uncomfortable around; maybe they are too rich and powerful, or maybe they seem too far beneath you. There is not one person who Jesus doesn’t love and that He hasn’t called us to reach. |
