Paul continues his theme of focusing on Jesus in this chapter. He reminds them that wisdom that comes from God is powerful but the wisdom that comes from people is not. God gives His wisdom, through His Spirit, to those who have trusted Jesus.
Would you prefer to have the wisdom that comes from God or from people? If you pursue the wisdom of God, people may think you are foolish. There is no point in arguing with them, because they do not have God’s Spirit and cannot understand God’s wisdom. We can only point them to Jesus.
