Paul talks about other relationships where harmony should be present. He then advises us to put on the armor of God. We need protection in order to do battle against Satan who is trying to destroy the relationship we should have with God and others.
Our armor is on the front. The expectation is we will be advancing, not retreating. We have God’s power in us, so there is no need to retreat.
