Paul writes to the church in Colossae, which he played a part in founding. His main theme is to teach that Jesus is above everything in creation. It is Jesus who has taken people from their sinful state to one of righteousness that is acceptable to God. Paul is happy to be suffering for the sake of Jesus.
One of Jesus’ greatest accomplishments was to save us! He took sinners like us and paid for everything we ever did or will do wrong. One day we will be in heaven, and we will spend eternity praising him. Today, we do it less perfectly, but we can still praise him.
