Paul acknowledges that those who have trusted Jesus lived lives that did not honor God at all before they trusted Jesus. He urges them to not even let a hint of that behavior creep back into their lives. It is tempting to wink at a little bit of sin, but Paul doesn’t want us to go there. Our marriages, too, should be models of love and submission, instead of everyone being out for himself or herself.
