It’s okay to enjoy your wealth. In fact, God wants you to enjoy the good gifts he provides! He delights in blessing his children. But while it’s fine to enjoy what you’ve been given, the Bible warns us that we need to be cautious. Wealth can give a false sense of security and status, leading us away from God if we’re not careful.
God cares most about your heart. When we recognize him as the owner of all we have and live with a spirit of gratitude and generosity, we find purpose and joy. However, when we treat our wealth as our own, it can lead to discontentment, pride, and a false identity rooted in material things. That’s why Satan often uses wealth to try to replace God in our hearts.
We can protect ourselves from the dangers of wealth by living generously and seeking God first. When God is at the center, we can enjoy what he’s given us while still living out his purpose for our lives.
Reflect: Am I using the wealth and blessings God has given me in a way that honors him, or am I placing too much importance on material things?
