God chooses Saul to be king. On the surface, he has the good qualities of being tall and handsome, but he doesn’t feel very qualified for the job.
Saul’s humility is a good thing. Had he thought he was sufficient on his own abilities to do the job, he would believe he didn’t need God. It’s a good idea for all of us to recognize that we can’t accomplish what God wants us to without his help!
