Judges
This event tells a fun story that builds suspense as God repeatedly calls out to Israel鈥檚 last judge, Samuel. He had been left in Eli鈥檚 care by his mother who had promised to dedicate her son to God. Samuel and Eli finally figure out who is calling. Through this calling, God replaces Eli鈥檚 sons, who are evil and not qualified to lead the nation. We are all in the place God has put us to serve. We probably won鈥檛 lead a nation over the remainder of our lives, but we can be available to do whatever God calls us to do.
