Noah
All that work building a huge boat gets summarized in the last verse of chapter 6 as Noah doing what God said! Until the rain begins to fall, Noah is doing everything by faith. That鈥檚 why Noah is listed as a hero of faith in Hebrews 11:7. There we are told his faith saved him and his family from the flood and caused God to consider Noah righteous.
How would you react if God told you to do something this seemingly crazy? Generally, what God asks us to do doesn鈥檛 require this much risk or effort, but we still find it hard. When we don鈥檛 do what God asks, we demonstrate our lack of faith. We can talk or sing about how much we love and trust God, but our actions may tell a different story.
