God鈥檚 Name
In this chapter God is scolding Israel for being unfaithful to Him. They are known to be God鈥檚 people, but they don鈥檛 act like it. In verses 9 and 11, God says He limits His anger against Israel in order to not have His reputation called into question. If God allowed them to be wiped out, it would appear He had been unable to save them.
God鈥檚 reputation is very important to Him. He determines what He will do based on His glory. If we want God鈥檚 help, we need to make sure He gets the credit when He gives us the help we need.
