Day 10: I can do hard things because God is my strength.

Read: Psalm 46:1

There are all kinds of situations that weaken our physical strength. Sickness, disease, stress, and age can all take a toll on our earthly bodies. We also know that mental illness and unhealthy thought patterns can affect our mental strength. Life can chip away at us, making us feel weak and incapable, especially when we rely on our own strength to keep going.

Right now, you may feel like the struggle before you is too hard, too big to get around. You’re ready to give up. It may seem cliche, but this reminder is still true: don’t tell God how big your storm is, tell the storm how big your God is. No matter what you face today, God is more powerful. He cannot be overtaken by any hardship or obstacle.

God is ready to take over when you don’t think you can keep going. When you feel like giving up, talk to God instead. Ask him to provide the strength you need for today, and believe that he will hold you up and bring you through this storm.
