FAQ

What is online giving?

Online giving is the ability to give a donation or schedule a series of donations using your debit card, credit card, or bank account.

Are there any hidden charges or fees to give online?

Nope. You select the dollar amount for your gift. That is the dollar amount that will be recognized as your donation. No costs or fees.

Where does my giving go?

Your giving supports our efforts to see more and more lives changed by Christ. Your giving does matter and makes a significant difference in the many lives that are impacted by LCBC. We strive to be good stewards of all that God has given us so you can be confident in your giving to LCBC. If you are a regular part of LCBC, copies of our most recent audited financial statements can be obtained by emailing us or by contacting the Accounting Office at 717-928-2155.

How should I tithe if my income varies from pay period to pay period?

Depending on which is more feasible for your situation, you can handle tithing with a fluctuating income in a couple different ways. Some people choose to give exactly one-tenth of their earnings for each individual pay-period. Others estimate their total earning for the year and give a portion of the total tithe each week or month throughout the year.

Is online giving safe? Is your site secure?

Yes! The security of your personal information and data is incredibly important to Pushpay, the giving platform LCBC has chosen. Your payment method details are tokenized and stored on industrial grade servers where the info is encrypted. View the Pushpay Security Overview for more details.

Can I use an electronic check or give through my bank account?

Yes, simply choose the “Give from a bank account” option when selecting your payment method. You can give using a checking or savings account.

Can I use my debit card or credit card?

Yes. We accept any debit or credit card issued by Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Are gifts to LCBC deductible for tax purposes?

Yes, LCBC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, so contributions to LCBC are deductible if you itemize as you file your tax return. Each year, by the end of January, we provide donors with a record of their donations for the year as a receipt for tax purposes.

How can I keep a record of the amount I have contributed?

Giving history can be viewed at anytime by logging into your account and viewing your transactions. You can access all giving history, including gifts by check or cash, here. Annual contribution statements are mailed to you at the closing of each calendar year by the end of January.

What if I want to change my online recurring giving schedule or cancel it?

After you log in to your PushPay account, you'll see your recurring payments listed. Click 'View' to edit or cancel these transactions. Feel free to contact our Finance Team at 717-928-2155 or at giving@lcbcchurch.com if you have any questions.

Can I give online to the ONE LIFE campaign?

Yep, just select "One Life (Campus Expansion)" in the "Giving Type" drop down menu. For more information on ONE LIFE visit LCBCONELIFE.com.

If we want to help people get out of debt, why does LCBC accept credit card donations?

Used within the parameters, debit and credit cards can be an efficient tool for payments and purchases. Many people utilize them in place of checks or cash throughout the month, and then pay off the balance in full. For these people, we offer the option of using a debit or credit card to give. We strongly discourage those who have ongoing credit card debt from exercising this option.
