When you hear the term “Groups At LCBC,” what comes to mind?

Maybe you picture a big group of people laughing and talking together. Or maybe it looks more like a few people studying the Bible in-depth and asking deep questions. Would it be accurate to imagine some of your closest friends and you sharing a meal out in the woods after a long hike, or lounging by a pool as your kids run around the yard?

The truth is that in reality, every one of these scenarios could be what a Group looks like at LCBC. A Group is just a group of people - usually, 5-12 adults - who come together on a regular basis to talk, share, pray for one another, and do life together as you seek to be more like Jesus.

Groups at LCBC serve two purposes:

To connect you with others To help you take the next steps towards following Jesus.

The early Church was known for its connection and love for one another - and this happened primarily in smaller groups. The book of Hebrews encourages us to keep up those meetings, saying “Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another…” (Hebrews 10:24-25).

You can experience growth and take the next step towards following Jesus on your own, but odds are that you’re more likely to stay motivated and encouraged when you have a group of people behind you, cheering you on. That’s what Groups At LCBC are meant to do: connect you with your tribe and together continue to love and challenge each other in your faith.

It’s for this reason that everyone can benefit from being in a Group - whether you’re joining together with other single parents to share life advice and have play dates, diving into a certain book of the Bible with friends, or learning to cook with others online - we have a Group that will fit your hobbies, interests, or life stage and get you connected.

You can see all the current open Groups on our online Group Finder - or if you’re interested in starting and leading your own Group, let us know and we’ll set you up with resources.

What are you waiting for? Take your best next step and get in a Group!
