Better to Give than to Receive
You’ve probably heard the phrase “it’s better to give than to receive” before.
You might not have known, however, that quote is a “Jesus original.”
Getting gifts from others is a blessing.
Giving gifts to others is an even better blessing.
Because the truth about gift-giving is that it’s not about the gift. It’s about the chance to use the gift to show others that they matter to you.
The gifts we give eventually fall apart, break down, or get replaced. But the people in our lives - our relationships - they’re here to stay.
That’s why gift-getting is good, gift-giving is better!
