What do I do with all these Bible verses?

Having access to the Bible’s wisdom is incredibly valuable, but only if you know what to do with it. Like walking around lost in the forest with a compass in your pocket, the Bible is useless if we don’t know what to do with the guidance it gives us.

As you read through this list, certain verses probably stood out to you more than others. Take those verses and find a way to keep them close. You might choose to write some on sticky notes and place them where you’ll see them regularly, or even memorize one or two each day to help them stay at the front of your mind.

Lastly, don’t just read these words, follow what they say. Like James 1:22-25 says, “Don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.”

The key to living the life you actually want to live is finding God’s wisdom and following what it says!
